I dont understand this -
After downloading a save, you'll either get a plain old data.bin or a zipped file.
If you have a data.bin, you have to place it in a folder structure on your SD card like so: \private\wii\title\GAME\data.bin (replacing GAME with it's corresponding game code from the game code list).
do i create files like one named Private then another inside it named wii then another inside it named title ect in my SD or what? Im such a noob to this!! please help.
You create folders, not files, but yes, that's exactly what you do.
This is only if you downloaded a data.bin instead of something like savegame.zip. A zipped file usually has the folder structure intact so you can just drag over the private folder and it'll all be done for you.
If you have just a data.bin, you're obviously going to have to create the folders and place it in it's proper place. When your SD card is inserted and you browse to the SD card menu, your Wii is going to look inside your SD card for a private folder. If it doesn't find that private folder at root of your SD card (meaning the private folder isn't inside any other folders) it's going to stop there and assume you don't have any saves on your SD card.
If it does find the private folder, it then searches for a wii folder within that private folder, then looks for a title folder, then looks for the game code folder (an example would be RZDE if you're using a USA / Canada zelda twilight princess save), then searches for the data.bin. If all of that is there, it displays the save on the SD card screen.
how do you place the \private\wii\title\GAME\data.bin in a folder? and what folder do you put it in?do you put it in the private folder?where do you type this in? do you right click then click on rename?ive tried that it wont let you do it.\private\wii\title\GAME\data.bin
I DOnt have a bin or zip file it says is a sit file.whats a sit file?
