well, companies never support modded consoles. but all it's saying is if your wii has a mod that somehow interferes with an upgrade, it's not nintendo's fault. otherwise, wii system updates are perfectly safe.

DaWillsta - yeah you just have the latest version. It's not really an error message as it's just letting you know you're cool for another couple months until the next upgrade comes out.

Wow you don't know what modding does. It allows you play copied Wii and GC games on your Wii and to actually copy Wii and GC disks to normal DVD +- media via an SD card or download via torrents and copy then play. Also plays other region disks. Requires soldering and voiding warranty. I am OK with it as long as you do it for backups, other than that it is stealing. Just Google Wiikey and you be wiser in no time

yeah dont worry about that warning that nintendo gives you, its more of a scared tactic, people, who do mod their console, are saving money, however they are causing nintendo to lose money because they dont really purchase the game and create back up, so dont worry about that comment, unless you do have a mod console, the mod itself is about 30-80 dollars, however you can copy games for about 30-80 cents a piece, the con of this is, your wii COST 250 dollars, do you really want to risk it? for all the games you can every wish for? the mod needs soldering, the risk is that the soldering might burn your wiis board or the wiis chip sets
