    From FIN24
The head of the LucasArts, the game division for "Star Wars" series creator George Lucas, told AFP a Wii game that lets players wield virtual light sabers is on the horizon.

I can't imagine how they're going to do it, but if they pull it off well (pbth to Red Steel), I can see everyone owning this title, Star Wars fan or not.

This was one of the first things that was ever discussed by me and some friends of mine back when the Wii was called "The Revolution" and it was still nothing but a glimmer in Miyazaki's eye... I'm excited about this.

Red Steel was rushed and implemented poorly... and it sucked. I have great faith in LucasArts, their games are generally decent quality, at the very least.

I'm not even a big star wars fan, but I thought the same thing as soon as I heard of the Wiimote capabilities. I then heard that a sword game called Red Steel was coming out that would "take advantage of the Wiimote capabilities" but I was sorely let down when I finally played it.

I have been dreaming of a Lightsaber game played like this. I am a HUGE lightsaber/star wars fan. I think this is what the 30th anniversary needs is a real Lightsaber sim. I agree on Red Steel, it had the potential. But it was rushed. And SUCKED!

I returned Red Steel shortly after playing with all the features.

I rented it, My brother in law was so bent on playing it.. But I returned it before I he could play it, I didnt want to ruin his thoughts on the wii before he even played any good games lol.
