I saw some topics with this same problem, but I saw no resolution to them.
    I'll explain what I did:
    - I transfered MY saves from my Wii to my Kingston SD card (Fire Emblem, Metroid 3, Mario Galaxy, Zelda, WiiPlay, Umbrella Chronicles, et cetera)
    - I formatted my Wii (even though, it remained as version 3.0U after I formatted it)
    - I put my SD card into my Wii and tried to copy the saves.
    - The Wii simply said: The game wasn't copied
    - I copied the "private" folder from my Kingston SD to my Sandisk... the Wii gave me the same message

Anyone knows what can I do? I don't want to do it all again... -_- All the games and saves are mine, I'm not using a save I got here, or anything.

EDIT: Just to add, my Wii is NTSC, american. Modded with Original Wiikey, and I am 90% certain my games are all NTSC too. (Zelda at least is, since it's original)

Also, I've already played the games after I formatted it... so this isn't the problem.

First you better check the region of the games. If they are NTSC American then try to play the games for about another 5 minutes each then delete the data and copy the one from the sd card if it says data wasn't copied then sorry I cant help you anymore. Hope it works.
