Hi,

I've been trying to copy COD3 and Need for Speed game saves to my wii, but I keep getting this error message.

"You must play this game on the wii console to copy save data"

But I did play the games on wii console, and already have a save on it. I download the 100% game save, went into my wii, try to copy, didn't work. Delete the original game save, try to copy again, doesn't work. Help??

Funny thing is that I manage to copy Rayman Raving Rabbit easily...

Try a different region of save file, never hurts to give it a go.

At least we're identifying this problem more thoroughly now, haha.

i have been having the same problem, but with Mario Strikers Charged Football. i've been trying to use the 100% finished save that was recently posted, but i get the same error message.

"You must play this game on the wii console to copy save data"

already tried deleting the save file on the Wii and copying over the file from the SD card, but i get that message. i believe i have a NTSC Wii modded with a Wiikey with firmware 3.0E/U

I'm brand new at this, so I feel like an idiot, but I have the same problem and don't know how to fix it. I found the RLRE game code on the SD card I bought, downloaded a 100% complete save, and got the same message: "You must first play the game..." blah blah blah. I have a store-bought WII, newly out of the package, so it's not modified in any way. I had gotten all the way to the Boss Natla on my old save, which I have now lost by replacing it with the new download, and verified that the region for the download save is America. Can someone walk a newbie through how to do this correctly?
