This will help guide you through all the steps of adding a wii save to your wii

    Step 1 - SD Card
Make sure that you have an SD Card which is used to transport the save from the wii. you could get a 2G SD Card off the net or in a local gaming store.

    Step 2 - FirmWare
You need to have at least firmware 2.1 or up, this is only because SD Card compatibility was added on 2.1 and up

    Step 3 - Game Code Part 1/2
You need to have the correct game code, you can find a list of all most every game code here!

    http://wiisave.com/gamecodes/index.php

Just look through and find the game of your choice. after you have found it look to the right of it and it will have a 3 Digit Code. But there is 4 digits to every code.

    Step 4 - Game Code Part 2/2
The 4th digit is the Region Identifier. It is used to tell what region your Game and Saves are. Here are the 3 Region Identifiers

    P - PAL
    J - JAPAN
    U - USA

To find what region your game is try look on the Cover-Back-Booklet of the game for it. Now that you know the Game Code it is time to find a save that is the Region as your game.

    Part 5 - Finding A Save
Finding a save of what you want can easily be done by clicking on one of the "Letters" ( Found near the top of the page) that are linked to all the games that start with that letter. Once you find a game there will be either PAL/USA/JAPAN saves. just look at what type the save is and make sure it is the same as your region. Then click download.

Part 6 - Setting Up SD
Now that you have the save data you want you will have to set up your SD to the following
SD/private/wii/title/(GAMECODE WITH REGION IDENTIFIER AT THE END)
For those who dont understand that means open your sd card and add an file called priavte and in that make on called wii and so on.
If you have the Gamecode with the identifier it should look something like

RMCP - That is the Mario Kart Wii Game Code with the PAL Region Identifier added. Make sure that you add your region identifier to it.

    or

    SD/private/wii/title/RMCP

    Part 7 - Adding Save
Now that you have your SD set up, remember the folder you made with the code and region identifier? well open that it should be at
SD/private/wii/title/(GAMECODE WITH REGION IDENTIFIER AT THE END) <== This File, Drag and drop the downloaded save that you downloaded before into that folder.

Part 8 - Adding Save To Wii
Now plug your SD into your wii and load the menu up. click on settings on the buttom left side of the screen and click Data Management. Then click on save data and wii data and it should open up a screen with all your saves. if you go to the top right of the screen and click on the SD Card, it will open the saves on it. now just click it and copy it over. make sure you delete the save off the wii before copying the new one or it will say that it already excists on the wii system.

Congratsulation on adding a new wii save data to your wii, i hope this guide helped you

Put your SD card into your wii and copy one of the wii game saves to your SD card. Then put the SD card in to your computer and open the SD card. Click on the files until you get to a 4 Digit code. it will have a Digit at the end of it, it is your Region Code. download a game save and goto the code list and find the first 3 digits of the code and make a file where the other 4 digit file is and name it with the 3 digits with your region code at the end of it ( make sure its all caps ) then copy the file you downloaded and place it into the new file you created and then remove your SD card, put it into your wii. goto save data, click SD card and then copy the new save data over. make sure you are doing all this and it should work. if it dosent please tell me and i will try to help more.

    Hi,

I am using HDD to play copied games (Homebrew Loader). I tried to copy the wii saves file but it always says "needed to play the game on your wii first" eventhough I already played the game through the Homebrew Loader in my Wii.

Do I need to play the original CD games on my Wii first, to be able to copy and use the Wii save? any solution?

    Please help.
    Thanks.

What Home brew loader application do you use to run them? Try playing the game, deleting the save then playing it again. Now dont delete the save, just copy over the one you want so it replaces the old one.

    If this does not work then you can try deleting it for the 2nd time to copy over the save file right after you delete it. If you still need help feel free to post here or if you want a really quick reply you can;
